How to participate

Any group of gymnasts can take part, no matter what nationality or age or technical level, as long as it consists of at least 10 people and their performances are accompanied by music.

The participation in the Festival del Sole is necessarily tied to the purchase of the hotel package we’ll offer at very convenient prices to all athletes and everyone else on the team (coaches, parents, etc.).

The package consists of 7 days/6 nights from Sunday June 30 to Saturday July 6, 2024 in full board accommodation (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
There will be two price tiers depending on the hotel category of your choice. Here are the prices per person:

On request, you can choose to stay in a 4 star hotel or extend your stay.
We remind you that the purchase of the hotel package is mandatory in order to participate in the Festival del Sole.

In addition to the cost of the hotel package there will be a small registration fee that will grant each participant the following benefits:

Special offer for big teams

We want to reward big teams participating in the Festival del Sole, so we’ll have a special offer for them: every 25 registered participants we’ll award you one free hotel package (the 26th person will stay for free).

Performances

The performances of all the participating teams will take place in three large open-air arenas, on the Riccione seafront a short distance from each other and with free admission for the public.

The duration of each performance is determined as follows:

The performances will take place every evening from Monday 1 July to Thursday 4 July, from 20:00 to 23:00.
Each team will have two evening performances available on non-consecutive days, with training sessions scheduled in the morning of the same day according to the same program (e.g. performance at 21:00, training at 9:00).

It is also possible to get a third performance which will take place in the afternoon, between 17:00 and 18:30. This performance does not include training or the use of exercise equipment such as AirTrack or trampolines.

Exhibition Arenas

Arena Roma is the main arena of the Festival del Sole and it will also host the Opening and Closing ceremonies, and the afternoon performances.
It will have a raised stage with a performance area of 14 x 15 m composed of seven floor exercise strips (height 3,5 cm); no mini-trampolines or AirTrack will be available.

Arena Giardini and Arena Nord will both have bigger performance area of 18 x 15 m composed of nine floor exercise strips (height 3,5 cm); two mini-trampolines (Eurotramp model) with landing mats 6 x 3 m (height 30 cm) each; one AirTrack 15 m long (height 20 cm) with landing mats 6 x 3 m (height 20 cm).

Each arena will also have changing and storage rooms, audio systems (audio CD/USB inputs), stage lights and grandstands for the audience with free admission and 1,000 seats available.

Sunday June 30th

Parade & Opening Ceremony

The grand parade of all participating teams will begin at 21:00 (with meeting at 20:30 in the city center) and will arrive in Arena Roma where the Opening Ceremony will begin at 21:30.

Monday July 1st to Thursday July 4th

Performances and rehearsals

The evening performances will take place starting at 20:00 in the three arenas, while the rehearsals will take place in the morning–in the same arena as the evening performance–starting at 8:00 and following the same order of access and times of the performances.
The afternoon performances will take place from 17:00 to 18:30 in Arena Roma only. There will be no rehearsals planned for these performances.

Friday July 5th

Closing Ceremony & Pink Night

The Closing Ceremony will start at 21:00 with performances from a selection of participating teams and will continue with shows by international guests and finally a big dance with DJs and other surprises, while waiting the midnight fireworks throughout the Riviera to celebrate the Pink Night. Do not miss!

Workshops & Pool parties

Free gymnastics and dance workshops will be held in the morning inside the Festival Village from 10:00 to 12:00 and in the afternoon from 16:30 to18:30 every day from Monday to Thursday. A complete schedule of the workshops will be published soon.
In addition, the famous Pool Parties will take place every night from Monday to Thursday from 21:00 to 23:30, with reserved admission for all participants of the Festival del Sole.

Festival Village & Official Shop

The Festival Village will be located in proximity of Arena Giardini and will be open from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00. Our official shop will follow the same opening hours as well.
