The fourteenth edition will be a memorable one for the Festival del Sole, the largest international gymnastics festival in the Mediterranean area that takes place in Riccione every two years.
It is difficult to find other sporting events of this magnitude in our country, without judges or rankings or prizes, while in the rest of Europe they represent normality: for this reason the Festival del Sole has been—for almost thirty years—an anomaly in the Italian sporting system.

These are the words spoken during the press conference to present the 14th edition of the Festival del Sole, held on Friday 30th March at Villa Mussolini in Riccione in the presence of the councilor for Sport, Tourism and Culture Stefano Caldari and UISP vice president Armando Stopponi.

The 14th edition of the Festival, which this year has touched the record number of participants with its 5,690 athletes from 20 countries, reached in October in just over two hours, will kick off on the first of July and will transform the city into a big and unique stage by the sea.

In conjunction with the press conference, the inauguration of the photographic exhibition by Beatrice Imperato dedicated to the Festival del Sole, entitled “Young & Free”: sixty images of faces, bodies, movement and grace of the young protagonists of this great event of international gymnastics. Accompanying the inauguration, live performance by B-You Riccione, Ginnastica Riccione, Acrobatic Team Riccione and Soupa Jelling.
